Description
Ever had a situation where you were troubleshooting a Macintosh SE logic board, and wished you could safely and easily do so without having to play precariously balance the board inches away from the flyback transformer and the fragile neck of a CRT?
If so, the SE-TOPPER is here to help!
Simply connect plug the SE-TOPPER into the J12 connector your your SE’s logic board, add a PicoATX PSU, and you’re ready to test with full video out (supplied by the integrated MacPicoVid, or with an RGBtoHDMI – purchased separately).
Not needing to test anything, but have a plan for a custom SE build? Use the SE-TOPPER as a low-profile/small footprint solution for your power and video output needs. The possibilities are endless!
Recently purchased an accelerator for your SE, and worried about fitment? The SE-TOPPER has been tested to not interfere with the footprint of MacEffect’s new Performer PDS 68030 accelerator for the Macintosh SE, and should accommodate other board with similar dimensions (contact us to verify before purchase).
NOTE: The SE-TOPPER has been designed to function with the Macintosh SE when the motherboard removed from it’s original chassis. There is no accommodation made for using the board inside an original chassis without modification
NOTE: The SE-TOPPER was designed to function with the Macintosh SE, but there is experimental support for the SE/30. To ensure proper clearance, the second bank of RAM must not be in use, and capacitor UC8 may require the application of Kapton tape to avoid a height conflict with the board. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have before purchase.
