Description
The original keyboard that shipped with the Apple IIc has a huge plastic stiffening rib underneath it. In normal use, it is not an issue. However, once you add an expansion board to the IIc, the rib must be removed to make space. This has a negative impact on the keyboard’s feel and performance.
This product is a low profile replacement stiffening rib for the keyboard. It is designed to support your spring clip keyboard and leave plenty of space for RAM expansion boards, Z80 feature boards, storage expansion (MegaFlash!!).
The rib attaches to two already existing holes at the top of the keyboard. It is firmly attached with two M4 screws and takes only a few minutes to install. No drilling, no mess or waste.
You can print your own or pick one up here complete with fastening screws and printed to provide the maximum amount of KB stiffness in a very low profile.
